Brazil

DDP in-country work in Brazil is developed by Centro Clima, a research center on energy and climate change hosted by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and linked to the university’s Energy Planning and Environmental Planning programmes. Centro Clima was founded in 2000 through a partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Environment. Expertise and research is focused on building economic model-based scenarios for low-carbon and net-zero futures with a high level of sectorial detail. Centro Clima has extensive experience in dissemination of scientific output and engagement processes with technical and policy-planning stakeholders in Brazil.
